Hi everybody,

my Name ist Frank, im from Germany, near Stuttgart.
I have a NANO SD and a fresh account at wunderground.com.
The account at wunderground works and i got a ID for my Davis Vantage Pro and the correct password.
But i cannot upload any data from my NANOSD.
It says "Error: Weather Underground: Username/Password Authentication Failed."
I tripple checked the Station ID and Key. They are definetly correct.
What else can i do wrong?

I did not receive any activation Emails from wunderground, but i can login and it works with no problems.
I already have an API Key generated and it says that i got a paid membership (i think this membership came from the NANOSD??)

I tried to search the Forum for that topic, but i only get "try the search again in 5 seconds", without performing any search.

Any help is welcome!

there is no special character in the password.

Welcome to the forum.

For uploading to WU you need the exact station ID (all capitals) and the "upload Key", they are different for each station.
Only in rare cases (older stations?) you can use a WU-password

Go to the https://www.wunderground.com/login website
Use your email and password to login
Click at the top right at "My profile"
Click tab devices.

If you already defined your weather-station, you use the ID and Key to setup your Meteobridge.
It can take up to a few hours before the data is arriving at your stations page.
But the page should be available to visit without data on it.

That _ID_ always starts with an I if you are outside the USA.

If your station is accepted, you will get a FREE API-key.

Also check your spam folder.
And your e-mail address used to sign-on to WU.

You need to get an activation e-mail and click on the activation link.

i already got the ID and the Key.
But i do not get an activation Email.
I will check my Spamfilter....

Logon to WU and copy / paste the station name and key to your Meteobridge.
Press save and check after a few minutes at the tabs "Live Data" => "Upload Status"
If there is a green mark, the data is uploaded to WU and it should appear at your stations page at WU


If there is no green checkmark: you could try to use your customer password, not the station key for uploading.
I still have a station which only accepts the password for uploads. It depends on what WU is willing to accept for a specific kind of upload.

Hi Wim,

OK, no Email in Spam.
Login WU works.
ID and Key copy directly from WU, does not work.
I wrote it directly (no copy/paste) doesent work either.
Then i try all versions of Username/Password/ID/KEY.
Nothing works at all.
Live Data says:
Error: 2021-05-16 20:22:54 Username/Password Authentication Failed. (no more tries)

I tried to erase the Device and make new one: same.

Now im confused.. what am i do wrong?
