Problem flashing TL-MR3020

I have a new TL-MR3020 v3.20 and have been unable to flash the firmware for Meteobridge. I think I've followed all the instructions given correctly. I've set up the tftp server as specified, and loaded the correct file, renamed, into c:/TFTP-Root

I issue the tftp command in the command line prompt (Tftp -i 192.168.0.66 put C:\TFTP-ROOT\tp_recovery.bin), hold down the large button, and connect the power. The small leftmost light illuminates steady, the second to leftmost light starts flashing rapidly, and then goes out. By this time, the 15 seconds is up, so I release the large button. The rightmost two small lights then illuminate and stay illuminated. Meanwhile, the command window shows 'connect request failed'. Nothing else seems to happen.

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong, please?

I eventually succeeded by using tftpd64 and temporarily setting my desktop IP to 192.168.0.225, instead of using the Solarwinds TFTP server.

HI, can you please state all the exact details when you changed the desktop PC IP address, like subnet mast etc.
I am new to this type of changes. I want to use your method as I have had problems with SolarWinds TFTP. Perhaps a screen shot of your settings.

Hi,

if the manual address is 192.168.0.255 ...

mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.0.1 - will probably be ok
dns: 192.168.0.1 - it doesn't really matter as long as it is valid

good luck.

Steve

ps. remember to put the old values back once you are done.
