RPi 4 -drops MB connection. **solved**

I have been running MB on an RPi4 for over a year with good success. Over the past two months MB drops however my router shows the ip as active.
The work around is to shut down and reboot the Rpi which is a hassle.i.e connecting the mouse, KB, monitor. Once it's up again I disconnect the peripherals.
Tried shut down and reboot without the monitor, however I get the blinking red light.
any help is appreciated.

a) "drops" is not very informative
what exactly does it do or not do ?
what does the system log tell ? (System/Logging)
b) my MB on RPi4 can be restarted without mouse and keyboard - no issue...
maybe your openWRT installation on your RPi is not correct - or your BIOS settings ...

Hi Gyvate,
drops= the mb stops updating ..multiple timeout and other errors under "live data" . The mb control panel freezes and upon browser refresh presents a "page not found/timeout, however my router shows that it's assigned to a static ethernet connection. MB has been up for months at a times and suddenly it would fail. Great product I have been using for several years
My ws is an Ecowitt with a GW100. See below which was released today. btw, I believe the MB server was down at some point yesterday. So the fix might address the "permanent hang"
All is good since I rebooted and now have v5.5
The latest release notes:
Version 5.5
released October 27, 2022
fixes a bug that prevents reading data from WN35 sensors from GW1000 setups.
Meteobridge PRO, NANO SD, RPI: modifies startup code to automatically boot with latest downloaded application stack when getting the stack from Moeteobridge server fails for 10 minutes during boot. This should avoid these devices to permanently hang on reboot when Meteobridge server is down.
thanks for the reply
