Hi Everyone,
In our club we have a setup with a MBPRO+DAVIS VANTAGE+WEBCAM connected mainly to Windguru and the MBridge ftp service for the webcam
The weather station is dying, and we would like to replace it.
As I am not familiar with the product, and I don't want to mess around buying something that wont work as well as the current one did.
Reading here:
https://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index. ... bridge_PRO
Seem quite straightforward that the new Davis Vantage PRO2 will fit without too much configuration.
Reading the post twice, seem a bit unnecessary, but I just would appreciate a word of warning (if any) or confirmation.
Thanks in advance.

Regards

The Pro 2 will work almost exactly the same as did the Vantage Vue. Just a more advanced weather station and console.

Would be good if you could clarify/confirm your current system

Vantage? As in the older Vantage Pro (VP1) or Vantage Vue? And you are thinking of a new Vantage Pro2 (VP2)
MBPRO? MBPro Red or MBPro Black or other MBPro version (such as flashed TL-MR3020 etc)?

Do you have a Davis Console or Envoy? If either do you have a logger? What type of logger?

How does the MBPro connect to the Vantage data now? RF or cable?

Thanks Mattk and and BigAIT,
Picture in the attachment. It looks like the Vantage Vue.
Looking at the prices, I think that we will go with the same model (Vantage Vue) as this is providing all the info that we need (mainly wind speed, direction and gust)
We don't use the console, just the Vantage connected to MBPro via RF link. No logging, just pushing data to Windguru and adding the above parameters to the picture of the webcam.
