[rain0total-sum24h] no longer working

Recently I noted one of the MB-Pro sensor data uploads is no longer working. I'm using [rain0total-sum24h] to get the rainsum over last 24 hours, but the upload now shows this text: "[rain0total-sum24h]" instead of a number of mm's rain.
Other readings still work fine, like:
[rain0total-nonzerotime:---]
[rain0total-sum@D1]
These are located prior and after the 24h rainsum in the export file, so it's not a matter of end-file troubles.

It used to work, did a recent update cancel the sum24h selector option?

Software version is: Meteobridge 5.8 (Dec 21 2023, build 15158), FW 1.4

I have only just set mine up very recently, and found that -daysum works as you'd expect -sum24h. Perhaps try that?

Cheers

After an update it would take 24 hours before there would be 24 hours of data?

"-Daysum" would give the number since 00:00 h today, if I'm reading the MB Wiki correct. I'm looking for the total of past 24 hrs. But since I was changing the selector anyway, I played with different timeframes, starting with 60 minutes. This worked up to "-sum11h". The "-sum12h" timeframe gave same error as the initial "-sum24h" setting. This was at 12:15 h local time. For a while I thought this had to do with difficulties accessing data from the day before. But it's now 20:15 h and still "-sum12h" does not work, while "-sum11h" does.

Have tested the following string @ 08:08am with version 5.8 (Build 15149) Dec 18, 2023 noting it had been raining up until a short time ago
Rain since#Since=[rain0total-nonzerotime], 24H=[rain0total-sum24h]mm, Today=[rain0total-daysum]mm

Result was Since=20240107073825, 24H=7.2mm, Today=7.2mm

Updated to latest version 5.8 (Build 16161) Jan 4, 2024 ran the same string @ 08:10am

Result was Since=20240107073825, 24H=7.2mm, Today=7.2mm

Does not appear any issues between versions or immediate updates?

Ah yes, good point about the differences with daysum.

I just tested an ftp upload with [rain0total-sum24h:NULL] and it output 0.0 (correct). [rain0total-sum96h:NULL] returned NULL, so the 24h one is working as expected here. Software version is Meteobridge 5.8 (Dec 25 2023, build 4719), FW 1.3.

Hope you get it working.

Dan

-sum96h will be invalid as typically -sumh only supports up to 24 hours, rain is a specific case and supports -sum30h

I did realise that, thanks, just wanted to compare with a value that would not work, to show that sum24h was working (since I have no rain to report today)

Cheers

Just had another scud, run string @ 09:17am result is as follows, no issues with sum24h

Since=20240107091604, 24H=7.8mm, Today=7.8mm

Maybe there needs to be additional details on how this -sum24h that is not working is being used, configured, called etc

Last Thursday (11-01-2024) "-raintotal-sum12h" was still not working, but the day after it suddenly did while I hadn't touched it. And "-raintotal-sum24h" also appeared to work. And still is. I have no clue on what is different or changed to make it work again.
Software version is now Meteobridge 5.8 (Jan 4 2024, build 15161), FW 1.4. Apparently installed after a restart on Tuesday 09-01-2024, when the MB was found to be frozen that morning. The update at that time did not appear to have cured the "-raintotal-sum24h" issue, as it was still showing the error until last Friday. Let's see how things hold from now on.

Looks like it depends on the uptime. But I don't full understand the mechanic...

A recent update seem to have changed behaviour of rain0total-sum24h again.
It is now showing the sum one hour ago. I use a script that runs every hour as long as it rains. At this moment, my Davis reports 13,6 mm current day and 13,6 mm in 24HR. At the same time my scripts returns this:

laatste 15 min: 0.0 mm
laatste 30 min: 0.4 mm
laatste 60 min: 0.4 mm

Neerslag totalen
vandaag: 13.6 mm
afgelopen 24 uur: 13.2 mm <------ this is Today minus last 60 minutes!
deze maand: 46.6 mm
dit jaar: 903.4 mm

I use Meteobridge 6.0 (Nov 14 2024, build 5572), FW 1.3.
Uptime: 6 days, 4 hours, 11 minutes

works fine on my MB VM and PRO2. What platform do you use?
When it is a router platform without ability to store data locally a reboot will erase the recordings and you will start a zero (for this specific request).

I use a Meteobridge 2 PRO platform.
