Twice today, meteobridge recorded 2mm of rain!

The information was in the logging:
«station 0 (Meteostick Vantage), suspicious and ignored rain counter reset (former value was 5) which might be caused by a power outage of the sensor.»

What exactly does this message mean?

Is the problem software or hardware?

It is the first time since the purchase of the meteostick that this has happened!

The wrong millimeters of rain (2mm) have been sent to all the weather networks!

The ISS rain sensor reports the current rain bucket counter value. The data packet is secured just by a 1 byte CRC, which is not very effective. In cases the signal is weak or a lot of RF noise is collected by the Meteobridge RF circuits, distorted packets can occur which pass the weak 8 bit CRC check. Therefore, Meteobridge also checks if extracted rain bucket counter value is in reasonable bounds of the former value. If not, it is rendered as "suspicious" in the log and not used.

I guess your 2mm false readings are a result of poor RF reception. Can you please share which RF threshold you defined on "station" tab and share a snapshot of the signal levels and reception percentage as shown on "System - Live Data" tab?

That Meteobridge sends its data to all defined weather networks should not surprise you. What did you expect?
