I have a few general questions.
I have Oregon WMR928 and am thinking about getting the DMP ebox 4300.

What is the advantages/disadvantages of 4300 over the others?

Also there is a 1gig version is it worth the extra?

Is it worth getting a larger flash card say 8gb?

Do I need the RS232 interface?

Thanks.

Brett.

no.

no. Meteohub will just use 4GB, which will be fine to hold about 10 years of weather data of a wmr-928.
Do I need the RS232 interface?
no. RS232/USB converter will do. But if you have long distance to the WMR-928, native RS232 support might be an interesting option.

you can use application data backup feature of your NSLU2 Meteohub, copy the resulting file "meteohub.backup" to the "/public" folger of the x86 Meteohub and then restore it from Meteohub's web interface. That will transfer all raw data, graphs, schedules and settings. You moght have to press save on a few pages (Sensors, WSWIN, WD, Graph Uploads).
