Why has graph uploads suddenly stopped uploading?

My graph uploads stopped uploading.

I have reviewed all my settings and they remain as entered when the process was functioning properly.
Data continues to upload to Weather Underground.
A FTP upload test file is successful.

All functions of the meoteohub are functioning correctly with the exception of the graph uploads.
I only upload the allsensor.txt file and the 4 files required for weather display live.

Any Suggestions?

I am now considering reinstalling software version 2.8 or upgrading to version 3.1 to see if this will correct the problem.

or upgrading to version 3.1
You really should always upgrade to the most recent stable version when it is released -- they always contain numerous bug fixes and stability tweaks and it's remarkable how many questions posted to this board are solved by that.

If it's still having connection problems with the latest version (3.3 or 3.3c) then we can start narrowing down the root cause.

This is what I was just about to do. I am currently running version 2.8

It would appear that I need to install version 3.1 and then version 3.3 to get to the latest stable version.

Correct

I have successfully updated meteohub to version 3.3 however, the problem has not been fixed.

After updating I confirmed all the settings.
The data continues to be successfully uploaded to the weather underground with rapid fire every 3 minutes. Under setup push services, ftp upload I click save & test with a test file uploaded successfully. but no luck with graph uploads. I have only had scheduled, the allsensor and 4 weather display live files for upload.

This service has been working flawlessly up until yesterday morning at 2:30 am PST. This is right around the time it does a scheduled nightly reboot.

I have noted that in the \\\\meteohub\\public\\graphs\\ directory these 4 files are being produced regularly however, in the \\\\meteohub\\public\\uploads\\ dircetory no files exist.

Help.

Live data will continue to be uploaded to WUnderground even if the USB stick has gone bad -- verify that data is being written to the stick by going to the "Inspect Data" tab and check that the data displayed has today's date and time. If it's not showing today's date you need to replace the stick.

If it is showing the date, verify that you get a graph displayed when you select the 'display' button on the Manage Graphs page -- if the graphs aren't being generated properly you should at least get an error message on the popup screen that will help diagnose the problem.

If they are displaying properly on there, then... ???

"verify that data is being written to the stick by going to the "Inspect Data" tab and check that the data displayed has today's date and time."

I have gone to the "inspect Data" tab and the data
being displayed is for the correct date and time.

"verify that you get a graph displayed when you select the 'display' button on the Manage Graphs page". Doing this I get an error message for a graph that has always displayed correctly in the past.

Result of graph display is attached.

From your attached file:
warning: Skipping data file with no valid points
There's a problem with your computed weather data -- try the 'recompute' button from the maintenance page, wait a few hours for it to do its calculations and then try again? Past this someone else will have to step in to assist, but clearly the problem is not that they've stopped uploading, but that they're not actually being generated due to an error.

inspect "meteohub log" for corrupted data. If you find error messages there you can try to automatically fix data for that month via "inspect data" pages (stop data logging on "maintenance" page first).

When I select "meteohub log" the system just returns me to the System Info screen. So I accessed the log via my network drive. There are considerable errors there which seem to correspond with the date and time I upgraded to version 3.3

I am not sure if I understand most of them. I use a Vantage Pro2 connected by usb to a data logger on the Davis console. I have attached the meteohub log to help in any assistance you can offer. (a portion to keep within size limits, the errors are continually repeated as time increments)

I have inspected the data around the date/time memtioned in the log and see no apparent bad data.

In the meantime I have stopped data logging, run cleanup and it is now in the process of recomputing. [file name=meteohublog.txt size=100050]http://www.meteohub.de/joomla/images/fb ... hublog.txt[/file]

sorry, bad news. Your stick has gone faulty. I see historical data copied into your raw data files.

I suppose to setup a new stick and putting a backup of your old data to it. Doing the update might have touched bad data areas. switching to an x86 system would also make these kind of problems history.

The update itself does not do anything with the logged weather data.

Maybe bad news but at least I'm making progress.

The memory stick that came with the NSLU2 is an old style stick. I believe I can only obtain the micro memory stick pro's with adapter but I'm not sure if they will plug into a usb port.

Will a usb flash memory drive work instead? They are readily available and inexpensive.

Also, I assume I should setup a new stick from scratch and not clone from the original? I am not worried about backing up old data.

yes, setup from scratch. cloning still does not work reliable.

Further to the set up of a new memory stick.

Should I also update the firmware?

I am not sure what version I have unless the linux kernel: 2.6.21.7 is identifying the version.

I have a new stick ready to go and will be re-installing the system tomorrow.

firmware shouldn't be necessary.
