New NSLU2
Modified IP to 192.168.0.77 using the Linksys CDROM on an Xp machine.
Connected to standatf browser interface on 192.168.0.77 and upgraded to to meteohub firmware ok
Installed 4GB rar to spare USB stick.
Used the '2 usb sticks in the NSLU2' method to install meteohub onto the new 4GB stick (Freecom).
The log on the other stick reports that the copying went okay (it took somewhere between 40mins and an hour).

But when I reboot I can't make any communication with 192.168.0.77, not even ping.

Any ideas?

some thoughts:

a) Try to type \"meteohub\" in the url of your browser instead of using an ip-adress

b) If this fails, try the ipscan tool from the download section of this website. Maybe you are using a dhcp server and the ip-address has changed. If I remember correctly this happened when I configured meteohub but for me solution a) did the trick.

c) Alternative to b: If you are using a dhcp server for the nslu2 go to the web interface of your router and check which network devices have been logged on to your dhcp server. There you may see the ip-address of your nslu2 as well

I do use DHCP for most machines on the network, but I'm sure that in the Linksys configuration program I opted for a fixed IP address outside the DHCP range (which is the arrangement I use for my NAS). For some reason or other meteohub has decided to join the DHCP gang over at 192.168.0.101.
