On the Maintenance Tab - What is the difference between Backup "Settings" and Backup "Application Data"?
Thanks!

I think the Backup "Settings" is supposed to save all your configuration settings to a file in the directory of your choosing on your computer called "meteohub.conf". Backup "Application Data" is supposed to save a copy of all your weather data in a single compressed(?) file on the Meteohub's USB thumb drive. You are to access that file named "meteohub.backup" in the public folder on the Samba drive and copy it to your computer.
You are supposed to be able to restore your Meteohub's configuration and all the data in the event of drive failure. However, I had such a failure. When I tried to restore the settings, the "meteohub.conf" was the wrong format. I hadn't done timely data backups and then I lost the Samba drive access for several weeks before I replaced the USB drive. So I couldn't restore all of my data.
I could do data backups and the "meteohub.backup" file is still on the bad drive, but now that I've replaced the USB drive with a new one, I can't get any of the backed up two months worth of data off due to access limitations on multi-partitioned Ext3 removable drives. Very frustrating. :(

So this may be for Boris.... When switching to a new X86 from an old x86 - I know we have to obtain a new activiation code via the license page.... But when do we apply this new activiation code - before or after application restore or settings restore.....? Doesn't the application restoration also restore the old license....?
Thanks
