Hi,
I would like to make a meteoHUB with NSLU2. Before buying hardware I 2 questions?
- you can connect a usb webcam with the sending of photos in ftp, once loaded the Firmware "meteoHUB"?
- The Firmware "meteoHUB" supports the use of USB HUB?
THANKS in advance for the answers
(sorry for English but I am an Italian)

webcam is not supported with the NSLU2 only on the x86 platforms.
From my experience with the NSLU2 I wouldn´t opt for it with a complete new installation.
I had an NSLU2 for over a year, but I´m now very happy with an ebox 4300.
Computing power and handling are so much better than with the NSLU2.
During data recomputation the NSLU2 is quite a slow "horse".
If you go for an Alix 1.d, I think it´s only a few euros more to invest, but you´ll get a far better and more powerful platform.

Yes, the Ebox 2300 should work with an USB Webcam.
I recommend downloading the current manual for meteohub version 4.2. It gives you a list of supported webcams.
Only webcams compatible with a certain Linux driver are usable.
As Boris and others mentioned here with the forum, the USB option is maybe not the one that makes anybody fully happy, because USB-Cams are not really designed for outdoor light conditions with a color heat > 5500 Kelvin :(
Here´s the download link for the manual

Here´s a screenshot of my meteohub on an Ebox 4300 sowing the webcam menu. I have no webcam connected.
