Rain not matching VP2 and Meteohub

Updated to 4.4 a few days ago. Now I find that my rain for the past 24 hrs are greater than the total this month :S
Numbers do not make any sense compared to those presented at my Vantage Pro2 display, not the 24 hrs value nor the amount of rain this month!
VP2 | Meteohub
24h 43.8 | 55.4
month 49.4 | 54.1
What is going on?

That's to be expected, and we get this query at the start of nearly every month :)
Basically the explanation Boris gave at the time is that monthly calculations (such as monthly rain) are a "low priority" computation, and as such they are only recomputed a few times per day, whereas the 24h totals are recomputed much more frequently. It's done this way because CPU time on the NSLU2 is at a premium and it's more critical to have the current data accurate and then go back and catch up on the weekly, monthly and yearly data.
Typically you wouldn't notice this as an issue, but if you have a dry start to your month and then suddenly a monsoon today brings a vast amount of rain in a short period of time, it will take a little while for the monthly totals to catch up with the daily total. I imagine it's been pouring today where you are?
Check again in a few hours and your monthly (and yearly) totals should be caught up.

OK so what you say make sense, but....
if you look at the numbers you see Meteohub reports way larger values, not less vs. VP2! It seems though Meteohub have caught up with the montly values as they are now larger than past 24h.
So why do VP2 and Meteohub reportting different numbers?
