Backup before firmware upgrade **solved**

I am planning to upgrade my meteohub to version 2.1 with the new kernel 2.6.21 very soon.

It is my first time to do the backup before firmware upgrade. I read the manual \"Update to Meteohub 2.1\" and have some questions about step 2.

- Am I required to \"Stop\" data logging process before starting the backup process? Will there be any impact on data logging while backup is running?
- Besides \"Application Data\", am I also required to make backup on settings (i.e. \"Backup Settings - Save File\")?
- How long would the backup last for? Assume I have 3-month weather data.

:)

Hi,
1) backup does not require to stop data logging. during backup data logging continues.

2) No, the settings are automatically included.

Hi,
its is always a good idea to store the activation code somewhere. When things go normal, it will not be lost during upgrade...

Meteohub is the combination of SlugOS, a stack of opensource applications and a stack of self written applications. All these have to work together.

Of course I will experiment how to adapt to 4.8, but not with high priority. At the moment 3.10 beta does what the meteohub applications need from the os.

If it is a big thing to migrate to 4.8, is hard to say at the moment.
