reset password

Trying to reset the password, the documentation says to SSH and enter "echo 'meteohub:' > .htpasswd" to reset password to meteohub but it doesnt work. I tried "reset-htpasswd" also. please help

Not sure, but I think words are:
root
meteohub

At what point of step by step instructions do you fail?
