To use a webcam, do you have special things to configure??
I'm trying to get the images from a Microsoft VX-3000 in Meteohub, according the manual the camera is supported and I have the camera connected to the VMware player but I don't get a image in Meteohub

Do you have VMware configured to have this USB device visible to Meteohub?

Since we don't have the same hardware it may not be the same problem but
after upgrading from version 4.4d the camera that have always worked before stopped working for me. My guess is that something in version 4.5 broke the webcam functionality but since nobody else have responded with reports on how their webcams work I don't know. Maybe I'm the only one using webcams?
Would it be possible for Boris to please check this?

Your previous post is very clear, I found this webcam very cheap in a shop (20 Riyal = 4 Euro) so my thoughts where "Give it a try"
I hope Boris will fix this.

Webcam feature is a bit flaky as it largely depends on timing which always is criitcal with low power systems we use. I tested a bit and it turns out that increasing priority of spcacat process (which does low level reading from the webcam) improves stability. Next update will have that. Hopefully, webcam function will then be as with previous versions, but I cannot promise...
I also made experience in the past that using webcam can freeze some systems. So use it at your own risk...
