Does somebody have an idea?

could be a weak USB stick if it is a NSLU2. Does "dmesg log" show any sda related errors?

as i rebooted several times i don´t have to previous dmesg logs.
I will anyway sell the sheeva and change it to a alix, because it seems, that the USB connector has to less power.
I am using a RFXCom receiver, if i plug it directly on the USB port of my laptop, i get all sensors without any problems.
If i plug it to sheeva, i only get those sensors, which are nearby the receiver (max. 5 or 10 meters).

Hmm, I'm wondering if you have tried repositioning your antenna? I had similar issues, and I'm under the impression (not proven) that the sheevaplug emits a bit more noise which might impact your wireless reception negatively.
If you feel that the USB connector has not enough power, can you try to put (temporarily) a powered USB hub in the middle? This would prove your assumptions (or not) and might help the rest of the community as well.
Also, do you've got one or 2 receivers in your USB RFXcom (2 will obviously draw more power)?

I have 1 receiver in the USB Rfxcom.
it was just a guess, that the USB connector has not enough power.
i have already tried nearly every room in my house ;-)
I put the sheeva now in my cellar into my network rack and the rfxcom temporarly on top of it.
If its plugged to sheeva, no reception, if i plug it to the pc at same position, i can receive all sensors.
You are probably right with your assumption with the noise, when i think again about the issue.
I had the same behaviour when the WMR was plugged directly to the sheeva.
And the WMR was connected to the power supply, so there should be no power issue.
But i am really wondering how the sheeva can impact the reception so much (even in metal network rack or 2 meters away).
Sheeva was running all the time, so it must be somehow related to, if USB is connected.

You might give a shielded USB cable with ferrite cores at the ends a try?

i tried also several usb cables, also with ferrit core.
i was expiriencing the last 2 weeks and at the end i ordered a alix1d, which should come the next days.
I hope, that the alix is shielded better (it has a metal cover).
Generally i was not so satisfied with the sheeva, as the quality is not so nice (plastic, usb plugs are very loose, plug becomes quite warm, etc.).
It´s the cheapest solution...
