relative y-maxima with gnuplot graphs

gnplot has this unpleasant behaviour, that graphs are always drawn at the maximum (and minima) margins. That doesn´t look so good.
The current feature allowing to enter a minimum and maximum value with meteohub isn´t helpful, because the max/min values depend on the recorded values, noone knows beforehand.
Would it be possible implementing relative min/max with lets say plus or minus (+/-) signs in front.
So, if +4 is entered into the Maximum field, that would draw the whole plot box with a top margin of the max value of the selected sensors +4.
Same for minima!
