Hi,
My suggestion is to allow send alerts via web sms gateways and/or connected devices like Siemens Ti35.

I know that this is possible now with my wireless provider. I can use '
myphonenumber@provider.com' to send text messgages to my cell phone. Perhaps you service can do this as well.
Best of luck

Hmm, interesting idea. Can Meteohub launch external scripts on alert conditions? If yes, then it will be easy to write simple script to send message via scmxx command, for example. I'm running it on some network monitoring application with MC35 modules.

Hi,
many GSM proveders offer free SMS gataways. So, it's no problem send SMS via internet. I sending system warnings from Sheeva on my mobile e-mail and provider (T-mobile) resend them as SMS on my phone.
Sending of meteo warnings on e-mail will be great feature.
Thanks

Don't forget that you can use Twitter (see
Twitter API thread) to send yourself text messages. You can set up an account for your weather station and a different account for yourself, then 'follow' your weather station account and set it to send a txt when an update is posted.
