Other WD (Weather Display) users might be interested to take a look at developments in the thread:

This afternoon I set up a copy of WD using this new facility and so far so good (more detail in the link). :)

Update on this.

I've had this facility running smoothly for several weeks now. I have one copy of WD taking data direct from a WMR200, and another copy of WD taking data from Meteohub via the web based interface. Both copies of WD are shutdown overnight and I have been comparing the two operations.

Collection of 'missed' (i.e. logged) data by the Meteohub based WD is proving so smooth and reliable that I will probably be making that copy the primary one soon! :)

Thanks to Boris for providing the protocol, and to Brian (of WD) for setting up WD to use it.

Another Update:
I've just added an OS THC238 extra sensor to my collection, to use for soil temp, and have discovered that at present, WD doesn't recognise 'Temp Only' sensors in the data it receives from Meteohub.

I've reported this omission and hope that it will be solved, but in the meantime I've established a workaround by implementing a 'proxy' meteolog.cgi script of my own that catches the request from WD, passes it on to Meteohub, then modifies the returned text so that the temp only pretends to be a temp/hum before passing the results back to WD!
