CF cards - Heads up

Many manufaturers do change their high-speed CF cards traditionally build with endurable SLC chips to multichannel connected MLC chips. While this also gives high speeds it is not delivering the 10 times less wear-out effect of flash cells that SLC technology provides. I recommend using SLC based cards because of the better wear-out characteristic, not because of speed.

Cards affected (to my knowledge):

1) Transcend 266x/300x series is no longer advertised as SLC and they tell something about multi channel. although price is still in SLC region (>30 Euro for 4GB ) I am no longer confident that this is a suitable card. Industrial line TS4GCF100I still is guaranteed SLC. So I would prefer this (is only 5 Euro more expensive).

...please add your findings

I am just looking at the cards, but the smallest price is around 40€. I don't know where do you get the price around 35€

I did not test this one, but SLC should be fine. Looks a bit "noname" but hopefully they do have suitable wear leveling inside.
