Can a Guruplug standard be used to create a meteohub? It doesn't have an SD slot. Will the Sheevaplug installation instructions work?

that would at least need some changes in etc/fstab. have a lok at /etc/fstab.sda.

I recommend to be very careful with the guruplug when used in an, unattended, 7*24 environment. There have been several reports that guruplugs were having issues with overheating.

I did order a guruplug myself quite a while ago, but I sold it again, since I didn't want to take the risk.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't try it, but I would recommend to watch it, at least initially, closely.

I read about some of the GuruPlug issues and they weren't that much of concern to me since it's not really "mission critical" for my home weather station. I was wondering if anyone had tried setting up a MeteoHub using the GuruPlug Standard - which has no SD slot in it. Would I need to use a USB SD (some longevity/reliability issues) or add an external drive (not particularly attractive)?

I thought if anyone tried this they may be able to point me to some documentation or have suggestions for doing so.

Thanks...Chuck
