1-wire users cannot install 1-wire on meteohub because Debian Etch is outdated and the repositories are not available anymore.
When do you think Debian Lenny is available for X86 systems?

I'm using owfs / digitemp on my meteohub X86 with etch'n'half without any hassle. Just try an apt-get update and install digitemp.
Edit: You have to change /etc/apt/sources.list before:
Code: Select all
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian-archive/debian etch main
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian-archive/debian-security etch/updates main
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian-archive/debian-volatile etch/volatile main

According to Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debian Lenny is supported until 6 February 2012.
This update behavior is worse than with Android

And Debian had some very serious security problems since Etch..
