SheevaPlug and WeatherLink IP

I'm interested in using one of the SheevaPlug units to connect my VantagePro2/WeatherLinkIP weather station to the net. Everything that I have read so far appears to indicate that the SheevaPlug must be connected to the VantagePro2 using a USB connection. Is this the case or can I connect to the SheevaPlug with my existing WeatherLinkIP (ie. ethernet) connection?

You certainly can! Use Type of Connection TCP/IP and IP Address : Port (ip address):22222. example: 192.168.1.5:22222. Note you can determine the current IP and port by going into the WeatherLink software Setup/Communications Port... and select Find. It would be highly recommended to set a static IP address on your WeatherLinkIP also, which can be accomplished by pointing your browser to it's IP address.
