RFXCOM Problems after Meteohub upgrade

Hi,
I've been running Meteohub 4.5 with an RFXCOM receiver for some years now.
Over the weekend, I finally upgraded to 4.9a. I also moved from an ALIX system to VMware ESX 5.0.
Since this change, I am having a significant issue with the RFXCOM.
Whenever I do anything that forces data logging to restart, Meteohub cannot connect to the RFXCOM Unit again, displaying the following message on the Sensors page:
This problem is resolved by power-cycling the RFXCOM unit, at which point data logging resumes straight away and sensors become visible again.
It sounds like Meteohub does not properly close the TCP connection to the RFXCOM unit when restarting data logging, or when Meteohub is rebooted?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Hugo
