Bonjour,
Sorry for my English... I'm French but i remember school..
I try VMWare image on Ubuntu12.04/KVM server and it work with my WMR200(choose IDE disk in virt-manager).
J'ai essayé l'image VMWare sur un server Ubuntu/kvm et ça marche avec ma WMR200( il faut choisir IDE dans les paramètres de Virt-manager)
But I want make a clean install on another VM but the install script don't work (pb ftp.uu.net is down) before buy it.
J'aimerai faire une install propre sur une autre VM mais le script ne marche (uu.net n'existe plus) before de l'acheter..
.
Is it possible?

Hi,
Can't you just use the vmware image as it is l

I know, I not simple...
J'aime bien me prendre la tête...
Meteohub seems a good application but the installation under Debian etch is old and not supported by the community.
I have a WMR200 since 3 Years and after pb with weather os, I found Xnetmeteo and Graphweather. It work fine but impose a physical machine (pb Universal bridge with usb passthrough in KVM). Solved since Ubuntu 12.04 but windows...
I'm professionel and a client heat engineer very interested in my graph, ask to me a kind of supervision for his home (bioclimatic) and his ground-coupled heat exchanger. I said him, "I learn a possible solution". I'm interested in this solution too. I build now a massor-kinesipathist building for my Wife with bioclimatic solutions (Winerberger PR42, etc...). In France, we're precursor!!
For my heat engineer, I think this solution :
- thermal supervision with RFXcom (14 sensors).
- LAMP server for his company (15 pers.)
- mail server
and for the environnement, all in a little machine without VM.
It impose a minimum of security and Debian 4....
That's why I hope in a possible solution..
Thanks Google for traduction
Also, french support will be a good idea because 1 hour for write a message!!!

perhaps I have found the solution on Deb4 install.
After compilation, meteohub seems work. I have to make upgrade but it's too late for my brain.
I test this tomorrow.
Good night.

I strongly recommend not to put all these things onto one machine (meteohub. email, lamp, etc).
Just buy a cheap iConnect for Meteohub only, which also is based on a recent Debian,
although you won't see a difference to the "outdated" etch. And I guess you don't need
high security levels in your LAN

Bonjour,
I agree with you Admin, but One machine by functions....
So much have a KVM machine....
At home, 1 KVM server with 2VM - 35W (In france 35EUR/year). It was cost 450EUR (with SSD 40Go) there is 2 Years...
For Deb 4 install, i have download all packages and modified install-pkg-dev.sh with local link in setup.tgz.
Edit:
And modify sources.list in root rep with valid mirror
http://ftp2.fr.debian.org/pub/debian-archive/dists/ (who become local mirror for me : cf apt-mirror)
I continue my test.

^^
schon mal ins Manual geschaut??
