Hi!
There should be an option so that the first rain of the day should be ignored.
The first rain of the day is often dew in the rain gauge.

Hi, not sure why you want to ignore precipitation formed by dew. The rain gauge is for measuring precipitation - not just rainfall. Technically dew IS precipitation so the reading is valid.
Rain:
Precipitation of liquid water drops with diameters greater than 0.5 mm (0.02 inch). When the drops are smaller, the precipitation is usually called drizzle.
Dew:
deposit of waterdrops formed at night by the condensation of water vapour from the air onto the surfaces of objects freely exposed to the sky

Hi!
My rain gauge is located in the pipe for the sewage water breather on the roof.
So warm air streams from the house up to the roof.
The warm air condenses in the colder rain gauge and counts precipitation.
In situations where e.g. somewhere takes a shower, the upstreaming air is warmer as it is normal and more dew as normal becomes precipitation.
Is this precipitation really valid?
