automatic reboot after system failure

Hi!

There should be an option, when an erroc occurs so that meteohub reboots automatically.
Maybe triggered from a "heart-beat" signal of the data-collection-process.

Today happened at my meteohub on an Alix 3d2 following:
meteohub runs stabile and fine since about 2 days.
Suddenly the data-collection-process stopped.
Since then i get an error mail every five minutes the day long that "Meteohub (Wetterstation): Wetternetzwerk No data upload to weather networks as sensor selected on weather network page for outdoor temp, outdoor humidity or outdoor dewpoint is not providing recent data. nicht erreichbar"

When i restart meteohub manually, the error is away.

I have a meteohub at a remote location plugged into an IP switch with an autoping feature. When the meteohub doesn't return a ping five times in a row, the switch reboots the meteohub. Happens a couple times a year. Saves me a half day drive when it happens.

How is your switch able to reboot meteohub?

I have my NSLU2 modded to automatically boot when it is powered up, so the IP switch just cycles the power to force a reboot.

Hmmm, but this solves not my problem.

Meteohub is pingable but has problems with the weather data.

Maybe i solved the problem with automatically rebooting meteohub every day.
So the malfunction lasts at maximum 24 h.

Anyway it would be nice that meteohub reboots triggered by a heart beat from some meteohub inside processes.
