I have a station Davis Vantage Pro2 + data logger USB + WeatherLink on my PC. Everything works fine when the PC is running. Unfortunately, in recent days, the PC turns off frequently. That's why I became interested in Meteobgidge to send the current observation on my website.
But my question is about the collection of historical data for climate reports.
Do Meteobridge retrieves data from the data logger? Is it only reads them?
If I plug back data logger to a PC, I can get the data (eg, an entire month) to WeatherLink?
Support for configuration Meteobridge is very good and thank you for it. But I can not find the answer to my question.

Meteobridge does not delete the historical data stored in the Davis datalogger. When you disconnect the logger from Meteobridge and connect the logger to the PC, your PC program will be able to read historical data from it.

Meteobridge works with the assumption that the datalogger is always connected to it. So Meteobrdge just reads live data and builds historical records from this by its own. Meteobridge does not evaluate the historical data in the Davis logger, it ignores that completely. As Meteobridge is a dedicated device to monitor weather data, it is rather unusual to have it disconnected from the weather station. This is not how it is intended to use Meteobridge.

So I think Meteobridge may be a good option for continuous operation. The PC simply plug in quite a few minutes only to download data from the data logger.
