I got the Individual E-mail service to work.

Now I'm working on Individual FTP Uploads and just can't get it to work.

I can get the "Test Upload" to work.

My "mydash.html" won't up date the info into my simpledash.html

Any help would be nice.

Tom

The template file (which Meteobridge uploads after having replaced the variables by sensor data) needs to be located somewhere in the Internet. Please tell me the URL, where Meteobridge is expected to load it from and where I can have a look at it.

Can you please provide a screen dump from meteobridge ftp upload settings.

How do I paste a screen dump onto this page and can I log into meteobridge remotely?

I see uploaded files there, so what exactly is your problem?
Is "mydash.html" not uloaded in the given intervals?
Does generating a test file with "Test Upload" button work?

No-one apart from yourself can get the upload credentials to your server right (including the correct destination path).

First off, Thanks for your help…. I’m somewhat new at this and would like to get it to work.

I would do the following:
1. Test Upload
2. Reload Templates ----- My template would be: http://www.excel.net/~kaf/like-simpledash.html
3. To view the information I would run “mydash.html”

Is this correct?

My FTP Upload looks like this:
FTP Host: http://www.excel.net Port 21
User: kaf
Password: *********
Template #1: (every minute) (templates.meteobridge.com/like-simpledash.html) Path (mydash.html)

Example above defines an upload schema to FTP server "ftp.myserver.com" for user "myself". Template templates.meteobridge.com/simpledash.html has been loaded on start up of Meteobridge and will be updated with recent data every minute and then uploaded to FTP server as file "mydash.html". When you view "mydash.html" with your browser it looks like

Your template file looks awkward to me. It doesn't look like a valid ASCII file, but in principle it should do.

I fixed my template, does this look better?

http://www.excel.net/~kaf/test.html

Thanks again Tom

I need to get out to the flying field and log into the router/meteobridge to update the template file. It would be nice to log into the system from home to make changes. It’s a 40 minute round trip drive to the field. Thanks and have a nice Christmas. Tom

Hello Tom,
Well I do not think that is a Meteobridge problem. I use a VPN tunnel between two remote sites so that I can log into a remote Meteohub. You could do the same as long as the routers at both end allow a VPN tunnel between them. Then you never have to drive again.

If you only want to change te template, you could also label the electricity plug with "only to be removed by "tomschultz " and phone someone at the airport to 1. remove the plug 2. count to ten and 3. insert it again. Meteobridge will always automatically reload the template files when powered on. And update itself also.

The best wishes for Christmas to all,

Wim
