Twitter feed of Meteobridge not yet authorized **solved**

From the last updated meteo cant send any twit or send info to my page, the system say this:
Error: Twitter authentication failed: can not get request token
Error: Download of template failed (#1):
Error: Download of template failed (#2):
What happens here?

Mines broken too, hasn't posted to twitter for the last 12 hrs.

Error: can not post tweet (no authentication) (no more tries)
before this it worked flawlessly for the last few months.

Reason is a serious issue triggered by the nice folks at twitter who decided to force SSL encrypted communication.

For a device like the Meteobridge with 4MB flash, 32 MB RAM using a SSL equipped version of "wget" on top of the reduced wget that is part of the firmware is going to blow the limit (as there are more things the unit has to work on in parallel). I can't promise a fast solution and apologize for bumping onto a roadblock here. It is the second time since starting with Meteobridge these twitter dev guys invent funny things as they are looking to be bored... hrrr...

Thanks for the prompt reply, I suppose with Facebook and Google already demanding SSL connections it would be inevitable that Twitter would follow.

I have something in the works that should re-enable twitter for Meteobridge shortly.
Release is planned for the week end.

...because you are trying to send identical records to twitter, which twitters blocks per default.
You might add a time-stamp to make sure messages are not identical.
