Lantronix virtual port

Hello all,
Newbie here with a question and I'm afraid I don't know much computer jargon so please keep that in mind when responding.
I have a Davis Vantage Pro2 station and Weatherlink with alarm output which is connected to a Lantronix external sever (UDS2100), via my router. This way I can view the weather station from my computer via a virtual port without being physically tethered to it. I would like to use the Weatherbridge to upload data to the internet but I'm wondering if it is possible to do while maintaining my current arrangement (with virtual port)? I have an ASUS RT-AC68R router which has two free USB ports and three free ethernet ports, if that helps.
Thanks in advance
