Problem logging on with WIFI

I first noticed my problem on Aug 4th when my meteobridge quit sending data to wunderground. I powered it down and back up and it started reporting fine, but I could not log into the meteobridge via WIFI. I connected it up directly to the router this evening and logged in and checked the parameters and reset the WIFI and rebooted. It still will not let me connect via WIFI. I can connect by going through
https://admin.meteobridge.com. I was last able to logon with WIFI on July 31.

When it reports to WU it is online and you just fail to use the right IP. Which of the five methods did you use to find out its IP?

I have my router assign a fixed IP and I have used the advanced IP scanner. I have also logged on through the internet and verified the mac and IP addresses.

Are you trying to login to the Meteobridge web interface from the outside (Internet) or from within your LAN?
Is it still reporting to WU?
Checking your router settings will not give you confidence that you did that right and the router keeps IP of Meteobridge in your LAN constant. You are just hoping that...
"
https://admin.meteobridge.com" needs you Meteobridge booted to get the very latest application versions and to have the mark set.

I am trying from within my LAN. When I try that it just times out. I can log in by using admin.meteobridge.com. It is updating fine to WU. Here is the link for that.

When I hard wire it to the LAN I can log in without any problem.

Does "
http://magicip.meteobridge.com" allow you login from within your LAN?

No, it does not work. It tries to connect to the same IP, but just hangs.

I can't help you with the bits of sparse information you drop here.
You tell us that the Meteobridge reports fine to WU when connected via
Ethernet cable with your router and also when in WiFi mode.
This means for sure the Meteobridge has a valid IP in your LAN,
in both situation. When you are not able to login in to the WiFi
configuration that is YOUR issue with not being able to find an
IP in your WLAN. Please ask a friend to get your IP assignments
for WiFi right.

It is getting the right IP when I do it from the local lan on WIFI. The advanced IP scanner is also not showing up the http server when on WIFI, but is when it is hard wired. I guess I will try and do a complete reset in a week or two when I have the time to play with it some more.

There are many ways to find out the ip, did you try "led blinking" or "usb stick"?

No, not yet, My router, an ASUS RT-AC66U, also displays the IP address. In addition, when I log on by going through admin.meteohub.de, the status page also shows the IP address. They all agree on what the IP address is.

We had a power outage and the meteo bridge does not come up. When I try to log in over WIFI, I get the OpenWRT landing page that tells me it cannot get to the server to load the software. When I try and go to admin.meteobridge.com I get the following error.
Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at admin.meteobridge.com Port 443

They are essentiale the same server, I think. So either both are on-line or both are down.
If you more often have a " power outage " you should put a USB stick into the Meteobridge. It will store the last loaded software onto that stick and only use the software from the stick when there is no connection to the metebridge server to load a fresh version. If your internet is slow you can even force the Meteobridge to "always" use the usb stick until instructed otherwise.
It seems that for now you have to wait until the servers come on-line again.
Succes, Wim

"admin.meteobridge.com" does not tell you IP addresses. "magicip.meteobridge.com" does. I am not sure what you are talking about resp. what you are mixing up. Please be more precise, no one understands what you talk about.
When you have the IP, then you can login. When it stays in fast blink mode and displays the landing page, then please share the information from the lower section of the landing page with us. Isn't it obvious that all the technical detail on this page is meant to help trouble shooting. So please start giving us valid data to help you finding your issue...
