I setup meteobridge yesterday (including a couple of reboots) on a new MR3020 and it went uneventfully. After nearly a full day of use with no issues and perfect 10 second updates to WU, I decided to unplug and move it to a permanent location this evening. As the meteobridge booted, I logged into the router to see if the static address (192.168.1.110) appeared and noticed it was not listed under attached devices after 30 seconds or so. After a minute or so, I lost contact with my router and my entire network died in a data storm. The MB was distributing IP addresses (EDIT: see second post for IP range) nothing basically worked (even by static IP), my wife was trying to work and was pissed. I tried to reboot the MB, and the same process again. I read about the reset button, tried to reset with no difference. If I held the button, the status light continued to flash with no difference (network was connected.) I tried to reset when powering on, the reset light would go off and stay off. I also tried 1 min after booting, 5 min after booting, and at one point, the reset light was solid and would turn on and off with each press, however I was never able to connect to the MB again and/or it would kill my network after a few minutes. I also tried to connect to the MB directly from the PC with no success.
I am stuck. Any ideas? Is there anyway to reflash it again? I looked through the screens on line and don't see where I can specify a firmware update. I configured the MB with a static IP, gateway and DNS. I reserved the IP and MAC in the router. My Davis has IPLink and I connect via the IP address (also reserved in the router). The MB was only updating WU, nothing else. I don't remember that anything else was configured.

After sitting a few hours overnight, I plugged the meteobridge back in and it came up like nothing ever happened. Looking at this thread viewtopic.php?f=56&t=9897, I would say we are in a similar situation however nothing in my network rebooted but the meteobridge and at that point, it took over. I am not using wifi, however it was configured initially and then I selected a static on the LAN. I have since went in and put in false wifi settings, the LAN bridge box is unchecked. My DNS IP is static to an external DNS server however it shows at local (127) in the system screen. I am running on 2.3 - maybe I should drop to 2.2?

Is there a complete wipe or reset command?

EDIT: After the MB was running this morning, I rebooted my router (R6300) to see what would happen and instantly the MB started propagating an IP range of 169.254.61.XXX and effectively shutdown my network. I unplugged the MB, rebooted the router, after a few minutes I plugged in the MB and it did not attach to the network (fast flashing) I then unplugged the MB for a half hour, plugged it back in and it came up under the correct static I assigned to it.

I really don't believe that MB is spontanously acting as a DHCP server as your are trying to convince us.

Only thing that makes your setup a bit non-standard to most other configurations is that you
program in a fixed IP. This generally is no good advise, as your MB will not be accessible once
you connect it with another LAN using another class C network range. To avoid this bad practice
and may be also solve your DHCP-take-over-assumption, let the MB work on normal DHCP client mode
and instead tell your router to bind the MAC of the MB to a fixed IP from its range. This the
recommended way to make your home devices locked to certain IPs. Would be great to hear if
that solves your issue. In the meantime I will have a look if static IP settings at MB can activate
the DHCP server...
