actual_rain0_rate_mm **solved**

Guten Abend,

vielleicht habe ich ein Verständigungsproblem.

Die Variable "actual_rain0_rate_mm" sollte doch die aktuelle Regenrate ausgeben, oder?
Bei mir wird die letzte Regenrate über Stunden angezeigt.

Hallo Boris,

letzter Regen Gestern vor über 15 Stunden.
In der Variable actual_rain0_rate_mm steht noch 5.6 mm/h
Ist das so gewollt?

Hi all, I hope I found the right topic to place my question.
I'm running a Davis VP2 with the "weatherboxx" (TL-MR3020) and meteostick/meteoplug since July this year. I bought the weatherboxx/meteostick from meteo.cc as a pre-installed system and it works fine so far. I really love this very smooth and effective solution!

As one of the very few minor flaws, I'm also suffering from the invalid "actual_rain0_rate" values (showing values >0mm/h for hours after rainfall), as described here.

I tried to read all Forum / wiki / Getting Started pages around meteohub /meteoplug to figure out how I could upgrade to a new version that resolves this issue, but I could not find or understand the answer.

Currently I'm running the meteoplug Client (TL-MR3020) with "FW-Version 1.1" and "SW-Version: 2.2 (Build 4343)". The luci Interface tells me "OpenWrt Barrier Breaker r34065 / LuCI Trunk (trunk+svn9415)".

The MeteoPlug System Information says "4.9 (Build 7093)" but I guess that's the meteoplug server side that I cannot influence.

Any information about how to upgrade what and where in general would be much appreciated (so I learn this also for future upgrades). Any help especially for getting rid of the invalid rain rate values would be fantastic.

Thank you very much in advance!

I realize that you are running a Meteoplug client. The newest code has not
been released for the Meteoplug clients, just for Meteobridge.
I will do on soon.

I just released the new code, could you please powercycle your Meteoplug client
and check if client is now on SW 2.3 and logger reported on Meteoplug server on 5.0?

Great News, thank you very much!

I added some "things" (issues?) that I noticed after reboot to the corresponding meteoplug.com thread.
To avoid further double-postings that I introduced, I suggest to continue the specific discussion there:

http://forum.meteoplug.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&p=882#p882

Thanks again!

I have a MeteoHub on RPI running v5 of the software reading from a MeteoStick-connected Davis VP2 and experiencing the same type of problem where the reported rain rate continues to be "stuck" on a non-zero value. This morning we had a light rain for a short period of time and as of this evening, the raw data for rain0 is still displaying a .02 in/hr rate -- long, long after it has ceased raining.

Here is the complete rain event from today. Note that it continues to show "05" (.5 mm/hr) rate even now...

Is there anything else I can provide to help solve this problem?

Thanks
mark

There have been changes on 5.0 software version. Please use "update (auto)" again and check if you still have this artifact.

Unfortunately yes, I am still seeing this issue of a "stuck" rain rate value (in this morning's case > 24 hours after the last rain fall).

I'm seeing this too. Light rain this morning, and MeteoHub thinks it's been raining all day.

I am running 5.0 on a DC01. I "updated" to 5.0 again today, but that did not help. It's still reporting rain.
