Re: incorrect time stamps/erratic postings

Update on this... without any intervention from me, all but CWOP updating has resolved itself back to correct timing. So, it seems to have mostly fixed itself (except for CWOP, which last posted yesterday).

incorrect time stamps/erratic postings

I'm getting some odd time stamps on various services. See attachment for a screenshot of how things are being posted erratically. My first thought was that the update I installed last night changed my local time, but I checked the time on my Meteobridge and it is set correctly. I've rebooted it, as ...

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **solved**

I received my passcode via email from Russ, but that was three years ago.

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **solved**

Agreed- it is very confusing.

I noticed another symptom of not passing the user's CWOP passcode... My station doesn't show up on the APRS map. (My station *did* show up on the map when I sent my CWOP data with passcode via Weatherlink.)

FWIW, my CWOP passcode is a 5-digit number.

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **solved**

I asked about this on a CWOP forum. See discussion here: http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=22984.new;topicseen

It seems that if we could input our CWOP password in Weatherbridge/Meteobridge, this would allow the TCPIP* to pass through. Is this something that could be tried in a future release ...

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **solved**

That's what I understand, too, from more reading that I've done. Could Weatherbridge be made to send our CWOP station ID *and* password, so that the TCPIP would carry through to the APRS system?

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **solved**

Well, I'm still sending TCPXX*. And AF6GL above shows that he is also sending TCPXX*. As a test, I changed back to Weatherbridge to send to CWOP. As soon as I did that, the packets changed to TCPXX*. Below is my raw data from a few minutes ago, from the moment I switched from using my other upload ...

Re: CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX

I'm not sure, sorry. I just happened to notice my packets changed when I started using Weatherbridge and I started digging into it.

It looks like packet construct and sending to the APRS/CWOP servers are addressed in #11 here: http://wxqa.com/faq.html

It looks to me that it might be as simple as ...

CWOP - TCPIP vs TCPXX **closed**

I am a new Weatherbridge user and a ham radio operator. I'm wondering about the packet being sent from Weatherbridge to CWOP. Prior to Weatherbridge, I sent my data to CWOP via Weatherlink with my callsign and password. Using Weatherlink, my raw data shows as follows, for example:

K5KVN>APRS,TCPIP ...
