rsync: keeping groups?
Hi, Two and a half questions :) 1. Is it really necessary to run rsync with the -av command to also store user and group permissions? 2. if yes, how can I do that properly? I am rsyncing /data and /home/meteohub to my NAS. I am running the following commands: su -c "rsync -av /data /mnt/nas_backup/_...

Download update 5.1 failed!
Hi,
Could someone please point me to the direct path of the update? Doing the update from the interface fails with the following error "Download update 5.1 failed!"
Thanks

Re: export whole database to csv (or other mysql readable)?
Finally I restored the data and used my available scripts to import all the monthly csv files to SQL. Done.

export whole database to csv (or other mysql readable)?
Hi, Unfortunately something weird happened to my mysql database and the most important table got corrupted. It is the table with all the weatherdata stored every minute. I wrote a script that automatically imports the wswintoday.csv every day. Is there a way to create something like the wswintoday f...

Re: Meteohub kills every SD card
strange, I run FlightAware (Piaware) image on a raspberry PI 3B with SD card for a number of years without any issues. Plenty of other users i know run CumulusMX on a pi without issues too for a number of years. Are you using raspbian? As far as I know raspbian should be quite optimized to avoid SD...

Re: Meteohub kills every SD card
haha, what a nice coincidence! Yesterday I did the same using an external USB HDD. I also brought back the webcam and the additional Bosch sensor to the meteohub raspi. Improvements: - external 2.5" HDD to store everything in /data - external power supply for the HDD; the webcam and the US...

Exactly. They just have a different temp range in the datasheet and that's it.

Re: Meteohub kills every SD card
According to the specs it should last around 3-4 years, considering the specified Nr of write cycles. Taking all the log files, database entries, graphs etc into account I would not give it more than 2-3 years. Maybe worth trying. :) thanks! The "industrial" sd cards offered by Samsung, Kensington e...

Re: Meteohub kills every SD card
Well, looking at some other forums there are quite some people with this issue. Even in this forum there are a few threads about this. If you could recommend a card that will work for at least a year it would be great! :) I really tried a lot. I even bought a ridiculously expensive industrial card. ...

Re: Again, New Update blows up the SDCard
It is not the update that blows anything. Which SD card type are you using? I have made good experience with Transcend and industrial SD cards from them. I tried all of them... Kensington, Transcend (standad and industry), Samsung... The result is the same. Lowlight record was 6 weeks until the car...

Meteohub kills every SD card
Hi all, I've been using meteohub for 4 years now. Within these 4 years I had to replace my SD card 9 times already. I even bought industry certified cards, which (of course) did not help, but I gave it a try. I also exchanged the power supply, just to make sure that this is not the root cause. In th...

Re: Weather Cam
If you already have a Raspberry Pi taking pictures and you are using imagemagik, why don't you simply copy the photo taken to the meteohub Pi and do the rest there? That's what I am doing... I am using fswebcam to capture the picture and add some text. The "curl" command should easily get you the ac...

Re: Meteohub stops half of its work regularly, why?
