Re: NANO SD freezes on reboot, requiring power cycle

Well, the brief success proved to be temporary. The NANO continues to freeze up on most reboots, and to only remain online for a short while if it does successfully connect. I have tried all of the following, without success. - renaming the WiFi SSIDs to unique names - moving the console and NANO fa...

Re: NANO SD freezes on reboot, requiring power cycle

The other SSID at 10% is a WiFi-connected doorbell camera. I don't imagine it would interfere with the NANO connecting to the router, considering how much stronger the router's signal is due to its being only 15cm away from the NANO. Happily, though, I can now report a bit of success. After posting ...

Re: NANO SD freezes on reboot, requiring power cycle

The NANO reports a 94% WiFi connection to the router (it is located about 20cm from the router). Weather station hardware 2025-02-17.png When I reconnected the NANO just now (with the 5V 2A power supply) it booted and reported its assigned IP address (192.168.3.31) by flash codes after a single pres...

Re: NANO SD freezes on reboot, requiring power cycle

Unfortunately, using a new power supply did not solve the problem - or if it did, it introduced a new one. I tried two, different 5V 1.0A power supplies and a brand new, 5V 2.0A power supply. The NANO SD will now occasionally boot up and connect to the Internet, but stays running only for a few hour...

Re: NANO SD freezes on reboot, requiring power cycle

Yes, it's an older VP2 console that has been running for 8+ years with Meteobridge hosted on an external TP-Link unit, and it has been using the original, Davis power supply for the console (plus a separate supply for the TP-Link).

I will get a higher amperage 5V supply, install it, and report back.

I'm installing a NANO SD in my VantagePro2 station for the first time.
