Re: CWOP expects altimeter, gets SLP

Boris,

Thanks so much for your quick response.

By way of introduction, I am a Airbus captain for US Airways and a long-time meteorology enthusiast. My understanding of altimeter is that it is simply absolute pressure corrected for elevation alone. SLP is absolute pressure corrected for elevation ...

CWOP expects altimeter, gets SLP

My Davis VP2 and NSLU2 transmit to WU and CWOP. In going over the QC checks on the CWOP site, I noticed what apparently is a common problem: an incorrect and seasonally drifting pressure. Apparently, CWOP is expecting altimeter, and the Davis VP2 console provides SLP (sea level pressure). The NSLU2 ...

Re:Precipitation values incorrect

I've long had problems with precip values on Wunderground. I have two stations, one in Phoenix, AZ and one in Vancouver BC. Quite often, I'll get a duplicate precip amount showing in Wunderground the day after it actually rained. IOW, if it rains 5mm on Tuesday, Wunderground often shows 5mm on ...

Meteohub "public" folder

How does one navigate to the Meteohub "public" folder, where does it reside? On Meteohub accessed through my PC's network?

I backed up my data and want to save it to my PC...

Thanks!

Re:Wunderground "double" precip

Duplicate precip problem again...:S

It rained .09 on Aug22nd and Wunderground reported .09 on the 22nd and 23rd. I sent in a support request ticket, and here is their reply:

>>Hello,
Duplicating totals from the day before, is normally an issue with your time being off a bit. If you are not ...

Wunderground "double" precip

Can't tell where the problem lies.

I have two Davis VP 2 stations I manage, one in Canada, one in the US. Both stations are using v4.4 on NSLU2s and update to Wunderground.

Two days ago, it rained in both locations at approximately the same time (7pm PDT). Meteohub correctly reported the precip ...

Re:New install, NSLU2: PL2303 usb-serial converter, no seria

Mark,

Meteohub (and the Davis VP 2 if that's what you're using) is sensitive to USB - serial converters. I've had success with a PL2303 from one manufacturer and failure with another 2303 from another source.

One 2303-based adapter I've used with success is the Iogear GUC232A available from a few ...

Re:Problem - Data upload stopped (connection with Internet f

I've had a similar problem twice this month, when my NSLU2 stopped updating to Wunderground. Had to have my neighbor reset my internet connection, as I was away.

Specifically, my ISP in performing routine maintenance had an outage in my area twice this month. In both cases, my router (D-Link) and ...

Re:Upload historical data to Weather Underground

When I got back to it in Michigan, it was easy enough to get back on line by turning off router and NSLU2, disconnecting them and the Oregon console and reattaching. A simple restart of the NSLU2 didn't seem to be enough. I don't understand why anything else was needed. That's what my neighbor had ...

Re:Vantage Pro 2 Data Logger

I encountered this problem yesterday, when my ISP went offline for a bit and my cable modem and router needed to be re-syncd. As it took me 12 hours to recognize the problem (loss of NSLU2's internet connection) and I was away, I lost 12 hours of data uplink to Wunderground.

In the past, using WUHU ...

Re:Meteohub and WS-2310

Boris,

I'd like to thank you for implementing support for the WS-23xx Lacrosse stations. I've been up for three days now on my WS-2310 with no problems, except that WDL does not work (error loading data).

Of course, my Davis VP 2 6153 arrived in the mail yesterday, so it's time to hoist that ...

Meteohub and WS-2310

I recently purchased a Linksys NSLU2 with the intent of using it with my LaCrosse 2310 initially, and then with the Davis 6153 I plan to install.

I have researched programs from Open 2300 and wview, but both of these lack the GUI web interface that Meteohub has and let's face it, I know very, very ...
