Precipitation values incorrect

Post by gmaurer »

I have a Davis Weather Envoy connected to a Meteohub (LNSL. The Meteohub is pushing my data to Weather Underground (KCAIRVIN11). The precipitation data is incorrect although when I connect my Weather Envoy directly to my computer and view the precipitation on the Weather Link Dash Board it is correct.

Any suggestions as to what might cause this?

Regards

Is the data also wrong when you look at it in the Meteohub interface?

I don't use wunderground, but if the data is correct in Meteohub is it possibly a units issue with some setting somewhere, i.e. inches v mm confusion?

If that doesn't help, it might be useful if you quoted some examples of right & wrong figures for a given time period?

I've long had problems with precip values on Wunderground. I have two stations, one in Phoenix, AZ and one in Vancouver BC. Quite often, I'll get a duplicate precip amount showing in Wunderground the day after it actually rained. IOW, if it rains 5mm on Tuesday, Wunderground often shows 5mm on Tuesday and 5mm again on Wednesday even if no precip fell on Wednesday.

Curiously, if there are consecutive days with precip, Wunderground totals correctly. No one either here or at Wunderground support seems to have a solution...
