i have the same error on my nslu2.
When it want to update (it is on 4.9q) himself, it crash and the software doesn't work.
How should i do to stop update by himself??
Are you sure that the 4.9v is stable for the NSLU2?

But the firmaware is a .sit format and not a .bin format.
How could i install it.
