Repeated NSLU2 Crashes After update

Hi,

I recently upgraded my NSLU2 from 4.7 to 4.9q and now the unit will stay running for a few hours then beep and no longer upload weather nor is accessible via the web interface. The only way to get it back up is to power it down and then backup again. Unit ran for about a year on the 4.7 load with no issues.

Can anyone offer any suggestions ??

It thing you have trouble with the USB Stick

Cloned original memory stick and replaced original with cloned memory stick. It appears that solved the problem.

Hello,
i have the same error on my nslu2.
When it want to update (it is on 4.9q) himself, it crash and the software doesn't work.
How should i do to stop update by himself??
Are you sure that the 4.9v is stable for the NSLU2?

after adding more platforms etc the update file is too big to install properly in NSLU2, which I just found out.

1. download file http://www.meteohub.de/files/update-v4.9v.nslu2.upd
2. copy to Meteohub network folder "public/transfer"
3. direct manual upload on Meteohub "Maintenance" page to file "/data/transfer/update-v4.9v.nslu2.upd"
4. upload and wait until Meteohub reboots. It should now have 4.9v as version on "System Info" page.

Hello everyone,
I'm angry today , my NSLU2 does not stop crashing!!
Do not we have a stable version pourait where a possible update would be manual only.
Version 4.7 works fine but it gets regular updates and crash!!
I have to restore meteohub every day!!!!
What solution are you??

When your NSLU2 crashes it is faulty (being many years out of production) or the USB stick is faulty.
