api.ipify.org **solved**

Post by alexrodriguez »

I noticed in my pi-hole is currently blocking api.ipify.org from Meteobridge. Is access to api.ipify.org required for Meteobridge to operate correctly?

It is used to get the WAN IP of your Meteobridge. Not mandatory needed, but then WAN IP field on System tab will remain unfilled.

Do you have a problem with outgoing traffic to there? When you inspect the paypload you will see that no information is sent out, it is just an IP request.

No, I am fine with it. I just whitelisted it.

Thanks!
