Current Cost energy monitor Development Board

Post by oliverb »

Anyone seen these Current Cost energy monitor Development Boards from Ebay? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 600wt_1139

They cost £5 each and output to the current cost device which in turn works with meteohub.

I was thinking of making a gas meter reader but you could make light sensors etc by connecting an LDR or solar panel.

Here are a few more links. http://currentcost.posterous.com/how-ca ... -dev-board

I have completed a circuit to read my gas meter via Meteohub/Meteoplug directly in kWhs.
The circuit uses a hall Effect sensor and senses every 0.111kWh of gas usage.

I have a put some details on it here http://home.btconnect.com/brettoliver1/ ... _Meter.htm

It is still a work in progress and will need a few tweeks on the graph definitions and some careful monitoring once the winter comes to see how accurate it is.
