Imaging issues and dreamplug wireless

Hello,
Sorry if this is the wrong board, I couldn't find a topic dedicated to the Dreamplug.

I am currently building a Meteohub on Dreamplug hardware. The setting of the boot order worked great with the installer. Now I'm just having problems imaging the 4GB SD card with the mhdreamplug .img file. I'm on a mac and the disk utility wouldn't let me restore the image to the card. So I booted up with linux and it just hangs on the dd command. Any tips? I also have an XP virtual machine I could use to try, though I cant find the DiskImage program (link?).

Also, the Dreamplug hardware has a wireless card installed. Will meteohub utilize the wireless card to update to the internet or will I need to physically connect to a router with an ethernet cable?

dreamplug port can handle the internal WLAN of the dreamplug.
