Setting UTC time takes no effect

Post by MeteoSevilla »

Hi to all,
I would like to publish website data, WD and meteoclimatic.txt file in UTC time. I have unchecked "use local time instead of UTC" from Settings menu, saved and restarted meteohub recomputation, but nothing changes. All data continues showing in local time. What is the issue?
I use Meteohub 4.7 and Davis Vantage Pro2.

Thank you in advance for helping,
Victor

Hi Boris,

I was wrong with the website, I forgot to replace local time variables for UTC ones and if I go to "Inspect Data", I get data in UTC, the problem is just meteoclimatic.txt file, that shows the local time. Am I forgetting some setting related with this file?

Recomputation takes less than 24 hours, and settings change was made about 2 months ago.

I have saw that if I also set Time Zone to UTC then meteoclimatic.txt file also shows UTC time.
The issue, doing this, is that now I don't get different values using variables like [actual_date0_hour_local] or [actual_date0_hour_utc] because system doesn't know what is my true local time  , or in other words, local time = UTC.

On all of my Meteohub Sheevaplug units, UTC is always equal to Local time. How can I fix this??

I changed the time zone to "US/Pacific" and it works correctly now. Choosing "Pacific" does not work, seems to be an invalid selection.
