Manually enter my records for use in WDL

Post by geiro »

I wonder which files I have to edit to put in my records for Total and this year? That is the only thing I miss after switching from WD to Meteohub. I have been looking around in the filesystem and have entered some manual values for this year, but not sure I did right... I have only metric values, do I have to convert to US/Imperial values also or can I ignore those?

Am I the only one that has come from WD to Meteohub and still uses WDL AND wants to have my old records from several years back entered into the right clientraw files in Meteohub? Or have every one else found out where to do it already? Please let me know how!

There is currently no supported way of manually adding record data to a meteohub system and so it is ot going to be reported to WD-Live.

Please accept that a Meteohub system is not a 100% functional replacement for a WD-WDLive setup. It covers quite some features but not all and it is not the aim of the system to immitate this very special pair of alligned software products at full scope. When you might have a look at the clientraw file definitions and the about 1000 fields defined there, you will clearly see that trying to completely get in sync to this will mean to write WD a second time, which is not what Meteohub has in mind.

I thought you had the min/max values stored in MeteoHub in a file somewhere and then populated the clientraw files that are exported to web, so I thought it might be possible to exchange the value of the max/min values in Meteohub with the ones I have had historically the last 5 years (printed on paper for backup) I do not know how you do things in Meteohub, but still assumes that there is somewhere that max/min values are stored and that they could be changed in some way, but of course I could be wrong.

I am not looking for a copy of WD, there was a reason I switched to Meteohub, I wanted something better, easier to configure and more stable, but I do believe that everyone that have had a weather station for some time would like to keep their max/min values, and that they have to start on scratch with Meteohub prevents many from moving to Meteohub.

Just my opinion, other than the fact I have lost all my max/min values for the past 5 years, I am very pleased with Meteohub.
