is it possible to install additional software on a plug computer running meteohub? As I understand meteohub is a linux based os. Does it provide some kind of package manager like apt-get?
I plan to use a sheevaplug for weather data collection. But the plug computer should be used for some additional services, i.e. waking up my NAS. For this I need to install etherwake on the sheevaplug.
Another question: newit is selling the sheevaplug in a multiboot configuration. Is this multiboot environment supported by meteohub?
Install custom software / multiboot

newit's multiboot does not fit with meteohub.
you can install additional packages with apt-get on a meteohub system, but I would not recommend to do so, as you will be on your own fixing bugs resulting from interoperability issues.
Idea of Meteohub is to change your sheeva/iconnect/you-name-it into a pure weather appliance runnning 24/7 and doing no additional magic.

Thanks for the answer. Meanwhile I baught a dreamplug and successfully installed meteohub trial on an additional SD card. After that I was able to install etherwake. Runs perfectly.
I know that this is not supported but I don't want to use a 200 euro plug computer only for collecting weather data.
