Canon camera as webcam

Post by MrPippoTN »

I'm testing meteohub on Iomega iConnect. Very very nice, but... Why there's not the possibility to manage a Canon camera as webcam with it? Could it be possible?
This is a must, for me... Surfing the web I've found another device called Anemos that can do it... It's very similar to meteohub (based on sheevaplug), but it has got this foundamental (for me) feature. Why can't I find it on a meteohub?

Regards,
Filippo

What do you mean with "Canon camera as webcam"?
There is no such thing as Canon camera as webcam.

There´s only a remote controlling piece of software for linux called gphoto2.
[[ Anemos is using it as well I´m sure ]]
I´m using it to do a webcam shot every 10 Minutes ...

One thing that solution does not provide:
Live - Streaming !!!

But the major advantage of that solution is the brilliant photo quality >>>

But I use a pc with PsRemote...
By the way, your page is amazing. Did you make it using meteohub?

No problem, I don't need it... ;)

Unfortunately I don't speak German... My only question is: can meteohub manage Canon cameras like the Anemos?
