Collect data from KWh-meter in fusebox

Post by Hubb-er »

Modern KWh-meters in your fusebox have an ir-led that flashes n- numbers of times every kWh.
Can this be read by an ir-sensing device and feed to the meteohub-logging software, so meteohub can display a grahp telling how much power your house is using?

Might be worth checking out the Current Cost EnviR and their OptiSmart device to see if it is compatible with your meter.
