I have a iconnect with the latest version installed. My system is dropping the sensors all the time.It will work for hours then no data from sensors. In order to get it working again I must delete the weather station, reboot then add the station again reboot and most times the senors reappear with data. I'm also getting tons of bad checksums for the sensors. I've tried several diffirent usb cables, but when i hook it up to my computer it works flawlessly. So my question is what the heck is going on did I do a bad install and something is just messed up?
Well now I'm also getting phantom sensors showing up no clue wth is going on.

Re: Dropping Sensors
rebooting and setting up new weather stations will be no cure. dont do that.
what kind of station is it? are you running 4.9e?
what is the data hold time you defined for your station?

Re: Dropping Sensors
I am guessing from the checksum errors that you are running an Oregon Scientific station. I initially had the same problem with my OS station on the iConnect although it had always worked OK when I was on an NSLU2. I had the checksum errors on the NSLU2 also, but they always went away after the next day started. The checksum errors do not seem to hurt the collection of data. What I did to correct the dropped sensors was to set the data logger on the console to 15 minutes and then I cleared the memory on the logger. After I did this I have not dropped any sensors.
Re: Dropping Sensors
Well it was a wmr-200 latest build, but i bought a davis vp 2,and so far not one problem. It's odd that when connected to my computer there was never a problem with senors, but its a moot point now. So far the software has been excellent now to just figure out a few more things, and I'll have my website completed.
